  • Summary: Not bad for the money
  • Comment: The Pyle-Pro is a decent Megaphone, especially considering the price. It is very lightweight--which is good--but it doesn't feel like it could withstand very much abuse.

Also, the buttons that control on/off and the siren are very sensitive--on multiple occasions the siren has gone off while packing the item up into its box. (Maybe it's trying to remind me to take the batteries out first!) Also of note--the volume control "slider" is very small and requires nimble fingers to control.

For "light duty" use like coaching a kid's football game, running a "track & field" event, or even as a prop in a stage show (I use it for effect with a couple of my bands) you really can't beat it for the price. You just have to be careful not to knock it around too much.

But if you need a megaphone for professional reasons--police, fire, crowd-control, etc--that will last years and survive getting dropped or stomped on, I would spend much more money and get more of a "pro" device.

Also of note--this megaphone is very prone to feedback and takes a little practice before you can find the right distance between your mouth and the mic.

  • Summary: good for a crowd of 150 outside
  • Comment: This product was worth what I paid for it. I used it for 2 weeks at a summer camp and we used it mostly outside on our field for games. It really helped me not lose my voice. It got everyones attention, but it was hard to understand the person talking in it when it was inside. The alarm button was very loud. The song button seemed pointless but was very loud as well. think the voice could be louder but worked well for our size of group. We had about 150 people. So ya

  • Summary: Great sound and battery life for the price
  • Comment: I've been yelling through this thing every day for 2 weeks now and I still haven't had to change the batteries. It's light and small, so it's easy to throw in a bag or around your back. My friends have bigger ones that eat batteries quicker and are much larger and heavier, and they're louder, but not much.

I did cut the cheap strap off day 1 and replaced it with a bicycle inner tube. Much more comfortable and longer so you can wear it messenger bag style.
